Hello :) Been awhile since i last posted anything here, because I've been so busy with work. Yes, Adrian actually got off his butt and shaked his moneymaker around Bukit Bintang for eight straight days.

Well, not quite actually. Remember how I was job hunting in Pyramid and all? I got hired by the good people of Padini Concept Store there woot woot! Specifically, at the Seed department. I actually started on the 7th. It'd be nice to show you some pics with captions like "me attending to lenglui" or something xD but you know laa, corporate demons don't like cameras in their den.

So anyways, we wear pink polo shirts with brown khakis and black leather shoes. How very gay! But can laa, no biggie. I work either from 10 to 10, 10 to 7 or 1 to 10, which is freaking tiring. No, not because the job is soo challenging or anything but apparently "the golden law of retail" is that...

Thou shall not let your sacred butt touch anything flat or comfortable.

Hell yeah of course i paraphrased. Okayy. It's not that I'm a difficult person to manage or anything, but one of the things which I really appreciated learning in college is basic concept of efficiency. If on rush hour weekends, no sitting, thats totally fine, but on weekdays, there is hardly anyone around dey. Besides, our section is deep into the store, its easy to see if customers are actually walking in. Once you do, stand, but if nobody, rest maa. Cause standing all day is hard, trust me. So yeah, quite dumb and inefficient because after standing all day, and by the time customers really swarm in (about 7pm) i'm hopelessly knackered already and from then on running on spare motivation.

Pfft. Try telling that to Moon (not joking) who is my manager or something. Oh well. There is no need to describe what a sales assistant does la right, very sure you'd get the drift. Since we have Men's Trend, Casual, and Work, as well as Women's Trend and Casual sections plus the fitting room, and there are five of us working at every one shift, we rotate sections often. Fitting room is pretty simple where you just collect clothes that didn't fit, fold em and dispatch them to the respective brand departments (PDI, P & Co etc). Men's section has all the preppy polo shirts and all the usual American high school quarterback kind of clean cutness stuff. And women's section...

Some of the guys said how lucky I was to get to work there because I can meet all the girls *cough* Well there just is one small problem... The clothes there are soo dated! Thats why only aunties go there gahhh! Like seriously dated, I won't reccomend any of my girl friends to get stuff from us man. There was this one time where a young lady tried on this expensive trench coat which gave her no shape at all. I discreetly wrinkled my nose and shook me head telling her to steer clear from it. Good that she got the message. Talking about no shape, our lady mannequins.. they really don't look lady like. Seriously. It has no boobs, the hips are abnormally large and curved out to the front and the posture is too leaned back. So what does it look like with a dress over it? A pregnant woman! Lol. Though I read you'd grow boobs when you are in fact, expecting. But of course, that's another curry recipe all together xD

So anyways, i'll be quitting by the month's end, citing boredom as me main reason. I mean i'm not trying to get a PhD in memorizing how many colours we have for this top, where exactly a particular piece is stored in the store room. Sho lazy and tired. The pay is not great either! RM 5 to the hour is decent but the opportunity cost for my lost leisure hours, it aint worth it.

I've been going to Nalanda Institute in Serdang quite often nowadays and i'm starting to develop a keen interest in learing more about Buddhism, so i enrolled in a weekend course which requires reading and everything. Kinda interesting to dive deeper into your respective faiths i think, learning more than the mere surface of it, like the discourses, history of events and such. Many things are written originally in Pali, and its cool to learn the unedited version. I'm usually impressed not by material things but wit and personality so i asked the headmaster why can't we learn just the English version because the Pali text is translated anyway. The he said that its like reading Romeo and Juliet : O Romeo Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo?

With that you can really get the soul of the text. Imagine translating it to O Romeo Romeo, di manakah kamu Romeo?

Nice point there then! I'm sold :)

And after playing the KISS stage on guitar hero, i'd say that they're very very cute indeed. Like Gene calls himself a rock god and his stage persone is the "Demon", their songsd are actually very very cheesy man. This song that i really like "Rock and Roll all Nite", it sounds just like an 80s disco track la, if not for the guitar riffs. So yeah, you don't scare me one bit, even with your axe-bass and fire spititing stunts!

Weee. Such a long post. Byebyee now!
